Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or reduced motion.

01The standard we work to

We design and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Where we fall short, we treat it as a defect to fix.

02What we have done

  • A “skip to main content” link and a logical heading structure on every page.
  • Full keyboard operation of menus, search, filters, accordions and dialogs, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Text and interface colors that meet contrast requirements against their backgrounds.
  • Text descriptions for every diagram and chart, and charts that are also readable as text.
  • Animation that is reduced or removed when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Layouts that reflow at narrow widths and up to 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling.

03Known limitations

  • Some detailed diagrams are hidden on small phone screens, where their labels would be too small to read. The same information is in the page text.
  • Links to third-party sites, such as social networks, lead to services we do not control.

04Report a barrier

If something on this site does not work for you, tell us through the contact page, choosing “Other” and starting your message with “Accessibility”. Describe the page and the problem, and we will respond and, where we can, provide the information in another format.
